Farmers/ land owners can cultivate the medicinal plants so that the availability of these herbs will be sufficient and at the same time the farmers/ land owners can earn profit. Hydroponic system of cultivation for Justicia gendrussa and Gymnema sylvestris was optimized. Through hydroponic system, the plants can be grown in a mass scale in a short time period and minimize the land usage. Since the plants are grown under controlled conditions, pest and disease problems are less. The cultivation of Gymnema sylvestris under field conditions was optimized.. These cultivation practices have to be disseminated to beneficiaries through networking NGOs in future.
